how is Jeremy Ellis using 2 maschines at the same time. 2 laptops? or can you now use 2 on one laptop?

you can use two maschines at once in many different ways... but my guess for this particular video is that the mk2 has a different usb id allowing it to work in tandem. I have done this with mikro and mk1 maschine many times and is my normal workflow.

I am disappointed about the new controler.

I hoped that we get more Buttons.

How will they implement new features when there are to few buttons to access them without extreme menue diving ?

Instead of this they removed 2 knobs !

    I want a ADDON controler NOW !

I am wondering how the old controller work with the new hardware. At the moment, I barely see any feature which wont work without the new controller.

I heard from SaintJoe that the current Maschine Controller will work just fine with the 1.8 software, the only thing that won't happen is the color changing pads as that is a hardware function...so no one NEEDS to get the new controller with the update.

Ok, that was what I expected. NI is not stupid, they want to make money, but they know that one has to have an eye on the "old" hardware users as well.

Nevertheless, it is ridculous., though. Most people's music would be the same even if there wont be anything new about Maschine. It s just marketing, and people think that buying xy will improve their creativity.

Where did you get that from? That would indeed be sad.

Being able to label pads with colors is going to be really handy for playing live... you can develop your own labelling system (i.e.: drums: Dark Green, Percussion Light Green, Bass Purple etc) to make using Maschine much more instinctive.

    General Thumbs up here!

Definitely missed not having any Pad Name feedback with Mikro not having Pad Names in the LCD screen for Mute/Solo Mode! ;)

NI is getting their Apple on! I'm excited about this! I can upgrade and get white or black now --- and now they have accessories, too! Does this mean Akai will end up being Samsung?

I see the usb port that are on ALL of their Traktor products, also one step in the right direction.

that should be part of the feature list for this thing.
