I recently bought Maschine a couple of months ago. I have it setup to run in 32 bit mode (by checking 32 bit mode in the Get Info on my Mac OS). I haven't had the chance to run it for long periods of time until now and noticed that if I boot my Mac Pro (2009 Quad Core) in 32 bit mode, loading sounds, FX, etc. (mostly sounds) on the Hardware Controller, the system gets stuck saying BUSY LOADING.... and either the program crashes before Mac OSX gives me a bug report before rebooting Maschine or the program stays stuck and I have to force quit it on Mac OSX and start it up again. I've had it freeze up on me loading sounds from the software too. Curiously, I haven't seen this happen (knock on wood) when I boot my Mac Pro in 64 bit mode.
Anyone here running Maschine on Mac OSX 10.6.8 experiencing this same problem? Anyone running it fine on their Mac Pro and if so, do you run your Mac Pro booted in 32bit or 64bit mode when running Maschine? Hopefully this is something NI plans to fix in their coming updates if this is ongoing because this is a dope Maschine (pun intended).

I'm running 10.6.8 and I'm not experiencing any problems in 64bit mode. Not tried 32bit.

    32 bit vs. 64 bit

I'm on OS 10.6.7 and latest Maschine os. When I rum in 64 bit mode on Maschine, most of my plugins/vi's won't show up. I'm talking like 80%. Everything show's up in 32 bit. Is there any downside to running in 32 bit? I certainly can't hear any difference. Thanks.

    John,
The reason might be that your Plugins are not 64bit compatible and will only run 32bit. You can check the list under Maschine's Preference panel and look under both 64bit (to find which plugs are 64bit compatible) and 32bit (which may be those plugs you say won't show up). In order to see those plugs again while you're booted on OSX 64bit mode, find the Maschine program in your Applications folder and right click on it and go to Get Info. On the info box check the box for 32bit mode. Exit out the info box and restate Maschine. You should see your plugs listed again.

    Yes, 32 bits

Hello fellow newcomer. Yes, I did exactly that and everything showed up again. Loving Maschine. I wish there was a "song mode." But digging it big time! Peace.
