Maschine plus with tascam model

Hello

I would like to know if the tascam model 12 or 16 or 24 works in usb with maschine plus?

Do I have access to all inputs via the maschine plus?

If it's class-compliant there's a high chance it is, if it needs driver installation there's zero chance it will work.

Maschine can only use 4 inputs and 16 Outputs, at least at the same time; you can change which IO corresponds to say IN 1-4 but this requires going in the preferences.

I don't expect this to change anytime soon neither.

 

I have a Model 24 and I can send 16 channels out of Maschine+ to inputs on Model 24.
And of course 4 outputs from Model 24 back into Maschine+
This is because Model 24 is a "class compliant" USB device. I expect the same for the the 16 and the 12

That would be truly fantastic. SSL is front and center with advertising their product as class compliant USB, so it should work. The wildcard here is how Maschine+ adjusts settings when connected to a class-compliant device. I have no idea if it defaults to 44.1, 48, or 96kHz when connected. The hardware gives no info, which is a pity. In my mind, connectivity with external USB audio interfaces will be complete when you have on screen control or AT LEAST display of:

the channel count
the bitrate / sampling rate
the latency / buffer size

I truly hope the Maschine+ platform strives to reach fully professional level and finishes this support to it's maturity. I'm still paying this device off and I have hopes it will do this.

 

Well, it's 4 stereo inputs, which is pretty cool in my opinion. My plan is something like:

Analog Rytm mix out > Maschine+ Input 1
Digitone mix out > Maschine+ Input 2
Korg Radias mix out > Maschine+ Input 3
Mixer Aux Send > Machine+ Input 4 (for sampling)
