out of interest - are you talking like audio tracks - compared like now where we have midi notes that trig sounds? That could be sorta interesting - as jjos on MPC 1000/2500 has audio tracks (as well as MIDI) & allows you to playback loaded samples using cue points. It's a cool different way to work with even limited sample memory.

yeah meant to say is they can condense and simplify the most crucial daw functions such as audio tracks, audio editing and combining audio and midi track sequencing and mixing into the streamlined maschine interface that **** would be revolutionary.

add to that some melodyne dna functionality and ableton style audio warping and machine will officially be in beast mode.

trust they will shut the game down with that kind of repitoire.

liking the idea of being able to draw envelopes (for warping, pitch etc) thru the sample - some old-time sample editors like Passport Alchemy used to have this kind of thing: http://www.midi-classics.com/p1353.htm Awesome.

here's to hoping that NI can make beast mode a reality

warp function, audio editing, etc would probably make Maschine talked about for decades to come like the MPC2000

If they just improved the arrangement/scene/pattern functions along with the midi they'd basically have a DAW...... Financiallly surely this would also make sense for NI as any new users are gonna have to invest in something to arrange and edit..... Surely NI must be losing out by users having to invest in a DAW? I for one would welcome this as would also make Maschine the ultimate live performance tool? Heres hoping........ PS Still standing looking round the corner.....

one thing is if ni dont announce 2.0 byt the end of June im thinking we will have to wait to September October until this thing drops.

and i really think ni seem to like that fall period for big releases so they may just keep us in the dark till then.

cos they have release all they new version already this year and they seem to like having major releases in the fall

The problem I see with adding more "DAW" features such as audio tracks, editing, arrange window etc etc. Is keeping the "mouseless" hands on control that Maschine has at the moment.

Ableton has those features and has had plenty of time to devise a controller (Push) but still didn't incorperate those into the controller. I think it will be a very difficult task.

How about a little 1.9 software update with a few clever features? ;)

After spending hours and hours and hours with Maschine the past couple weeks. I agree with both Jpeg and invis. I need better sequencing capabilities like Jpeg mentioned. It's just really hard to compose and full song in maschine. Some basic features are just missing. I prefer the linear way personally. I hope for something similiar to ableton for sequencing. If they have to change the controller, so be it. Not too much though. For now I use maschine in studio one. Hope one day to do a full remix and my tracks in maschine without having to rely on another daw. Then dump it in PT to mix.

wtf are you talking about? All he was saying is that he wished Maschine allowed better engineering capabilities over your sound
