Hopefully they will add some of the features they added to Battery 4 like the Sidechain, busses, decent built in compressors etc.

That would be niiiice. Add Multicore to that list and I might buy one again.

You'd think a sampler of this nature would already have those battery features. They are clearly trying to give the dj/ traktor community what is expected of them and clearly doing just the opposite for the maschine user base..... at this point, It's just disrespectful.

Damn when I say stuff like that people bite my head off lmao. I think it depends on what N.I is trying to do with Maschine. IF they are trying to have a drawn out money maker by adding a couple features here couple features there..... This is going to seem like humanity is failing and the zombie apocalypse is near. If N.I is like ok we know guys and we got you. This will be the craziest most amazing thing yet. Maschine is just now starting to walk but it's still a baby. It can talk but it doesn't have a big vocabulary. They know what they need to add but are they going to milk us for it that is my only question. This is taking long. I wish companies didn't focus on the # and just kept updating piece buy piece and charge for what they want.

Thing is in spite of what some folks think I'm not bashing maschine, I've purchased 3 as well as komplete, battery, and traktor traktor and batt were first and a long time ago and I don't use them at all anymore, love traktor dj though. I'm just telling the truth out of my love for music, the sampling art form, and drum samplers in general. I use maschine for what I can do with it and jump through the same hoops as everyone else here, it's just that there isn't allot of support for progressive mobility on the maschine home front and everybody seems happy go lucky about the sample packin romplerization of what should be the most flexible and capable drum sampler available and I'm just tired of the shenanigans, I mean for Pete's sake some proper midi implementation would be a good thing for all of us but I actually have to debate with some folks on the notion.......... It's ridiculous. Lol I think I'm done saying what I need to say for about another three months now.

Nah there's a lot of us not happy with where Maschine is, and jumping through hoops to get where we need to go. We have just got used to relying on you to speak up on all our behalf:p

How does releasing samples packs for it make it a rompler?

How is a company disrespectful for not implementing features that they at no time said the product included?

I think people expect too much from NI. At the end of the day Maschine is a sampling drum machine with plugin hosting capabilities. And that's exactly what it does. Sure, there are features that would be nice if they were included, but saying that NI is being "disrespectful" is a bit ridiculous really.

    theinvis,

The NI development team won't be wasting their time with sample packs, there will be a separate team for that. I don't think you need to worry on that front. It'll be a tech/marketing team job to find collaborators and deal with the packs and get them ready for release not the hardcore backend guys worries.

With every sample pack available they will be enticing more customers, more customers = more profit, more profit = more investment in R&D and product development (one would hope!). So it's all good in the long run.

Some are just mad they can't make music and are more worried about gear and blaming the manufacturer. It would be common sense to sell maschine I think if your not happy with it don't you think? Hope they can come up with an update so certain people can shut up and just make music and learn how use what they purchased.

NI asked for beta testers 2 months ago.....
latest version is 1.8, updated 1 year ago

it's not that strange to expect 1.9 or 2.0 soon

I'm ok with my own ridiculousness puzzle, but I think that allot of the implementation within maschine as well as lack there of is ridiculous and I'm less ok with that. If you think the midi is on point in maschine and not half assed then I respect your opinion, but I disagree....

The sample packs themselves mean nothing to me, by pointing them out I'm merely pointing out that I disagree with the way that priorities are set regarding maschine. I don't like that sample packs, traktor, and komplete come first rather than their stated flagship piece....... Again others might disagree, but I agree with me on that as well.
