maschine problem

    why doesnt sound come from any other programs while maschine is connected?
    example: windows media player, itunes, internet explorer etc.

    Are you using the same sound card for Maschine as you would to hear sound in windows? If you are then this is probably a limitation with your sound card or driver not allowing multiple streams of audio (I forget the correct terminolgy) I think you either need a second sound card or a card that can do 2 streams at once. Hopefully someone can confirm this for me

    yeah i thought that might have been the problem too because i am using the same sound card

    It sounds like you're using a PC, so you'll need to download ASIO4ALL if you haven't already.

    Its a free sound driver program which should fix your problem.

    it won't fix the problem if he still uses the same soundcard with asio4all, asio4all isn't multi client either, even with asio4all he would need multiple devices or a device that supports multiple programs at once.
