Maschine Project does not recall Kontact presets

I know there have been a number of similar threads, but I have a project that refuses to recall the Kontact preset I have loaded into sound slots...

It'll show the preset name and everything, but it does not output any audio until I manually reload the preset...

There are two Kontact instruments that are demonstrating this behaviour, Damage, and RetroMachines. There may be others but there are the only two I've used in this project.


Things I have tried:

Ran Kontact in standalone prior to running macshine (including the kontact instruments in question).

Tried saving the kontact instruments in question as a maschine preset.


Not sure what the problem is, but I'd like to fix it if I can. It may be of some help to note that I recently moved all my libraries to a different drive (they were originally on an external HD, but I have now put them on a second hybrid drive in my MBP). I had to manual relocate all files for Komplete 8 within each app in standalone but they all seem to work.

Any ideas?

Just thought I'd dig this back up... It seems anytime I make use of a Kontakt instrument maschine will not load the preset when I reload the project (or Group)...

I would be shocked if it has to do the installation, as I have the same behavior on both my MBP (OSX 10.7) and on my PC desktop (Win 7).

Generally it's not the end of the world as the preset is remembered (just doesn't load any samples), so it's just a matter clicking on the magnifying glass and re-selecting the highlighted preset in maschines browser.


Anyone have any ideas?

 

could you give a specific example of a Kontakt Preset that does not save please.

Lately the most common Kontakt instrument that has been doing this is Damage, it doesn't matter what preset from Damage that I choose. When I save the Maschine project or just the group that contains the instance of Damage, and reload it at a later date, it seems as though there are no samples that get loaded. Kontakt will show that it has an instance of Damage loaded, and it will show the correct preset is selected, however it's effectively 'muted'. The only fix has been to reselect the exact same preset from the Maschine Browser, which only works fine when I haven't made any modifications to the preset.

It's worth noting that I have also had this problem with Retro Machines, so I'm confident that the problem isn't that Damage is from a third party.

Don't know if this means it's related to your problem or not, but it sounds the same... Have you got in touch with them about it? If you do pm me and I'll give you my ticket number so if there is a link they can look into it.
