Maschine Recording existing MIDI data from Pro Tools (HELP)

    I recorded MIDI data using Maschine 2 (MIDI MODE) into Pro Tools. If I go back into Maschine Mode to record a loop on top of what I already recorded into pro tools Maschine records those notes. Its really annoying especially when I am trying to record an 808 bass on top of the drums I recorded earlier. Is there a way for Maschine not to record my MIDI my existing notes from pro tools when I set the record button on Maschine?

    Hi
    When you switch from midi to Maschine standard mode, there is a little midi channel conflict for me. In midi mode you record in channel 1 and in standard mode, the pad 1 is also in channel one....so that could be the problem. Let me know

    Hey!

    Thanks for the reply! From what you are saying, is there a work around this? It would be great because I could keep exporting my midi ideas from Maschine into Pro Tools without it re-recording all that data back into Maschine.
