Maschine Remix decks

Hope this is ok, Ive been working on an app that deals with the remix decks for the maschine, its an osx app and it currently only supports mk1 maschines

I made a video be great to know what you think, I made it sound horrible and just didnt really demo it very well

I used my laptops camera to record the maschine and had it at such an angle I couldnt see the screen at all, I didnt plan it very well and I lost all sense of rhythm too. Enjoy

I hadn't got the mapping working on my maschine mk1, when you get it please make a vid of it.

 

Which kind of maschine do you have? It 100% works with the big mk1, the mikro will trigger all the slots & pages no problem, i just need feedback on what doesnt work with the mikro, I dont have one to test it with. The big mk2 should be working perfectly now also, the mk2 mikro needs a template, the templates dont take long tho As soon as Ive finished the update Im working on Il get the new templates up on the site

 

It is not working on the big MK1. I Have donwloaded the files you sent via Mail. Run Masch R and imported all TSI Files.... I was only able to trigger the first row of the Remix sets.

Anyway, Your mappings killed all my other setups, needed to Map my other controlers new.

 

Sorry to hear your having troubles with it buddy, if you set your maps to the correct ports nothing would be affected by the app. It has its own midi ports so it wont affect any other hardware unless its set to all ports.

If your still having troubles with it, let me know and Il help you get it going properly, you can always send me an email if you prefer, plenty of people are using it with the mk1's. Did you watch the install video on youtube?

Does this work with a Maschine Mikro and or a Mikro MK2 ?

What I want to do is use the Mikro with Step Sequencer and also controll the remix decks. Is this possible ?

 

Hi, Masch R works with the Mikro and Mk2 Mikro, mk2 compatibility is working, Im just finishing up an update for tomorrow that improves Mk2 & Mikro compatibility as well as other good things

What are you using for the Step Sequencer? Masch R is a separate app that hooks onto the Maschines midi output, it can work with other templates and should work with other apps. If you have a specific setup, let me know and I can make sure it will be fine. I can add new functions to Masch R if necessary, so if it needs to do anything differently, i can make it work.

Hey, got it working with the last update but my girlfriend bought a f1 for me which was under the christmas tree.

There is one thing what ****ed me up while using 1.2 of masch r.... There where not enough free midi channels avialable.

i wanna use maschine (and maschine software midiclock sync to traktor ) the step sequenzer for add kicks snares etc to the running track.

As i understand i must switch to midi mode for use the remix decks and can switch back to step sequenzer mode to fire up kicks on in step sequenzer mode?

Also can i control with the maschr the volume of each slot ? and the filter?

 

Hi mate,

it will work with maschine and traktor running alongside each other, that will work fine.

At the moment Masch R controls the slot volumes and filters with the knobs on the bigger maschine, I need to come up with a way to do it from the mikro. I was thinking about this last night when I was going over the templates. Im getting an update ready for later today so Il add a way to control the volumes and filters with the mikro.

I think Il make it so you hold a button and turn the knob for slot volume & filter. There are 2 unused buttons at present so adding that wont take long at all.

thank you for the answer. Again short question. For the use of your programm the Maschine must be in midi mode or ?

And if i Switch back (out of midi mode) than i can use the normal maschine as it is ?

Than i must check my mapping cause in midi mode i have a freaky mapping going on right now... i think than i cant use your programm for remix decks :/

 

Hey buddy,

Yeah Masch R works in midi mode, so you can switch between maschine software and my app. You can use existing maschine midi maps with it at the same time, it has a set of thru ports for that. You will be able to use the maschine software, traktpr and my app together if thats what you are after.

ahhhh ok ! And how the configuration for the through ports works. cause the mapping in midi what i want to use is very big and use all buttons and knobs

 

ive been meaning to make a how to video on it, but basically you set your existing traktor map to the Masch R Ext ports, then when your running Masch R you can hit group D change the template with shift and left right arrows and your all good. When you want Masch R back you just switch to the Masch R template and press group D again.

I bet that makes no sense Thats why I need to do a video of some of the features, Im terrible with explanations.
