Basically to sum it up, i bought maschine to replace my mpc because streaming my mixes to get them mastered sucked. I thought of maschine as being the next biggest and baddest Roland Sp1200 or Mpc. For me, i am in college. so i always have my laptop with me. so being able to open my software, export my separate tracks, and master them on the fly, is something mpc and roland cannot do when im sitting in my dining hall.

So i know that native instruments wants to go down in history as one of the best drum machines, so on the next update, please make it so i REALLY DONT have to touch my mouse.

    :)

I dont have maschine yet and I will buy the product when it has timestrech, untill then I will keep using my mpc, I also know at least a couple of other people that feel the same.

NI I appreciate the fact that you care about improving the product but my Akai s950(1988 Classic) has it and this product has been out for 2 decades(yes 22 years), surely it should have made it into 1.5. I hope and prey its in the next update 1.6.

sorry, but the timestretch in an Akai S950 is very poor by the standards of today. i have absolutely no interest in having timestretch like that.

time-stretch aint a deal breaker id rather they put the program resources into full rex and mp3 support so u can preview them from the hard ware and assign those files types and edit them non-destructively like wav files.

for vocals yes but for a beat machine no but i can see it being useful but to go as far as saying machine is **** because of that one feature is attention seeking hoping to force ni into adding the feature.

but ultimatley if u cant make beats without timestrech thats a lack of skills issue as mentioned pete rock aint have no time strech when he made troy and classic joints, premo neva had no timestrech on the 60, rza neva had no timestrech when dude did 36 chambers.

so u can work without it

the same can be said of mp3 support but peeps wish to debate this i say implement both features and peeps use what they want, however other argue against the need for mp3 integration.

AFAIK Ableton Live uses élastique Pro for it's time stretching

    http://www.zplane.de/index.php?page=description-elastique

While we wait for NI to add this to Maschine, in 1.6 we can use VSTs, which means that we can use the élastique pitch VST

this is very true. I look forward to kontakt as a timestretcher in maschine.
as it is very quick to use. though a dedicated Timestretch in the edit window for editing single samples + a timestretch all around (that would ideally let me link to something like tracktor scratch pro) to control stretching of an entire project is what I am truely hoping for in the long run...

screw what everybody is talking about, just add time stretching, those who use it, use it, those who don't , don't. Why dis someone else who doesn't work the way you work... shm..
