Maschine Sampler "Autoloop"

Hi,

When I open sampling page from my M Studio controller, in the edit page in between "Truncate" and "Stretch" I have "Autoloop" . It wasn't there before and I tried to find any addendum or info about it with no success.

Do you have that menu as well and do you know what it does ?

I can’t say i’ve seen this before. but it only shows up on the controller screen (after "stretch"), NOT in the software (?!?!). it seems to automatically create a smooth loop, which you can still edit when going to the loop tab.
it seems to work well with non-rhythmical sounds like pads etc. with drumloops its kind of odd, the loop makes no sense there imo.

maybe it found its way unintentionally (part of the closed Beta perhaps?), and it needs a "settings" tab like the "stretch" command has (i hope).

i could not find any info on it in the online manual.
can someone from NI give us more info about it and what its intended use is?

Yeah... I don't think that was meant to be on a public release, it's related to upcoming features but it's functional so for anyone using samples in ADSR it could be helpful so I guess for now that's the intended usage, the name is pretty self-explanatory: It tries to automatically find a seamless loop brace.

 

So you tried it and you saw it ? the poppping display kind of made me think it did some ind of processing but couldn't find out what.

 

ok so I tried quickly with an amen break that is not a perfect loop to try the feature properly.
loading my Amen in sampler, go to edit, choose Autoloop and process. The start/end loop points got set up automatically and Loop set to ON.
Still I had to set up ADSR manually.
It did a good job as the loop is looping perfectly but the loop points are kind of unusuals as it started after the first snare transient.

Though it terms of workflow for a live situation it is interresting...I will try with any sort of weird contents to see how it goes, it could be very inspiring.

Good feature I think, We'll see in the long run I guess




edit: eurk, I cleaned thos knobs a bit. With that covid stuff I wash my hands 15/20 times a day but dirt is always here, same on keyboard...would be more dead sweaty skin at this stage

 

my guess (and hope) is “autoloop” will get a “settings” tab where you can do similar stuff like you can in Kontakt: auto- search loop ( long or short etc).
i’m excited what else might be cookin’ inside the Maschine Dev’s kitchen…

 

Me too indeed. What I had wished since the very introduction of Audio module would have ben more stretch algorythm in sampler mode instead of a distinctive module, or have more of the Sampler edit functions in the Audio module...having loop points in Audio. Module would have been potentially very creative as well. Still it is very nice to see thing being worked on, though, I have more and more problems to tolerate those clumsy updates. It has very bad consequences all the time and breaks so many things. A smarter file management would be good as well, like you cant select text or copy/paste in a text box, and simple standard keyboard moves are not there for simple things when you edit controller pages for instance...it is too much work for not much really even when getting skilled and faster. And those endlesss midi problems not being solved in 2022 whith such a standard...a bit hard to swallow

Luckilly it always remain fun if you just waste your creativity on thise negative feelings...too much work for not much though
