Maschine - splitting Hardware and Software

    Hello everyone,
    i recently purchased a used Maschine Mk1 without software.
    Now i was thinking about getting a Mikro Mk2 with the Maschine 2 software.
    I would then use the Mk1 with the new software and either keep the Mk2 Mikro or sell the Hardware.
    I wanted to ask if it is possible to use the Mk2 Software with the Mk1 controller, or if you can'tcan't split up software and hardware.
