I have been out of here for a few years.,.
always used maschine, but mainly Elektron
I tried my maschine last month a few times, and I love this 2.6
locks, morphing, randomization.... and the endless amount of banks and sounds I can use...
I know many people here are disappointed about the development.... but I love it....

Maybe this has been discussed before, I don't know, couldn't find it ....
    I ordered MPC Live....
but it has no morphing, locks, and p-locks

these things are very important to me!

Do you expect a Maschine Standalone?
I expect it after the summer... with amazing integration of Komplete.... possibilitty to connect Jam and Komplete Kontrol

or will NI always go for the computer? I hate my computer, even since I have this new MBP. Making music standalone feels much better to me!

Doesn't make sense for standalone maschine as of now. I say a big version of maschine jam first. Maybe...

there's a video in the casual friday thread where the guy in the video dl peace says in the comment section that the stand alone maschine is on it's way and that he's seen it...
I don't know if this is true but pass the rumor along please

God I hope not... they can't even get Maschine to where it should be by now hooked up to a computer, hate to see what it would look like in standalone.

Hey mate, same boat here! Been on the Elektron's for a few years but I'm just more productive ITB - you've probably read my whinging over on Elektronauts enough times.... It's the immediacy of it all that I like (once you get it all loaded up of course!). So dug out my MAschine Mk1 and spent a couple of Easter weekend evenings having a blast. Now got my eye on possibly the Studio, Jam & Kontrol (at the expense of my Analog Keys). No rush though - happy rediscovering Maschine.

I had not touched Maschine in ages so, like you, I'm impressed by 2.6. Some great changes and I can see a lot of possibilities in the Jam with it's touchstrips and things. Would I feel the same if I had been a regular user since I jumped on Maschine 4 or 5 years ago? Probably not, but I can't change that! I can fully accept folks frustrations - I feel the same with Ableton in a way on a few matters (MPE being a biggie - I do hope NI fix this too).

Can't say either way on a standalone - my gut feel is no - but can't help but feel there will be revisions to the Studio and Kontrol keyboards soon. Nothing to back that up just a feeling.

Might ask the peeps over on Elektronauts for their thoughts. I'm a Push 2 user too so there is always the "why bother?" question with Maschine but

ouch, but you're probably right. A while back I decided to change my perspective on maschine and view it as a more evolved piece of kit that I really like, the sp-303.. and I have to admit it has made me feel much better. It has everything I wish an sp-303 would have... almost, and there are other options that have what I previously expected from maschines development.

I don't think we will see a stand alone maschine soon/ever. Too many problems I think.

    i think it solves problems...
standalone for maschine means that a computer will be integrated
then suddenly everyone is on the same platform
this makes it easier to program....

No morph, but it does have transformation
no lock, but it does have unlocked potential
no p.locks but it does have automation and a sequencer with capabilities that I wouldn't trade for p.locks any day.
