Maschine studio ableton template not working

HI there, I have a question regarding the mSchine template. There's a tutorial that's been posted about how tothis looks great however i have all the folders copy/pasted, did the controller editor thing, set up ableton's preferences, but now maschine studio is stuck on the same screen. where to i go to get the pads from staying lit up? all the pads are lit and it's still on the settings screen but none of the buttons trigger anything and the screen is still on the template selection screen. I can't get past this step and there doesn't seem to be any option otherwise. thank you

 

please make sure you have updated all of the software and applications to the latest versions:

that includes Maschine, Controller Application and Ableton Live.

all my products have been up to date, controller editor 1.6.3, maschine 2.1.2 and ableton 9.1.5, I made sure of that when i was trying to troubleshoot. thanks for your response.

 

my only advice is to go through and check you have done everything correctly. it is working for me.

are you on a Mac or PC?

I'm in a Mac. The picture of what screen comes up it's basically the same as on the template of the video I watched at the 1:59 mark of this video on youtube that was posted here on this native instruments site.

are you sure you have chosen the 'Virtual' Inputs?

oooh I reinstalled the folders i had to copy and paste and now it's working, thank you, however do you happen to know why the pattern button won't switch clip and arrange view. sorry for the bombardment of questions, i'm trying to get a hang of this. thank you!

is the Pattern button meant to switch Session and Arrange view? is there something i am missing?

i thought you just used it to select the Clip view if you had used the Scene button to play Scenes or the Pad Mode button to play notes.

Hey maybe you're right about that and the session arrangement view are not supposed to work with the pattern button I'll look again I was going off the youtube video post. The screens not corresponding with what's going on in the song. Does this matter?

 

Do you happen to know if the screen is supposed to correspond to what's happening in ableton because mine doesn't which means it still may not be working... Thanks again!

no that has 10 different Pages, which you choose with the left/right arrow buttons to the left of the 2 screens.

it is the Pads that have the visual feedback about which tracks are playing or which ones are muted.

Hey guys!

Wanted to ask, as I am having the same problem. Do you know if the current template is working with Maschine Mikro MK1?

I have Maschine 2, but am not able to use the Ableton template as I used to.

Pads are not lighting up, it wont switch octaves. Still having to use Ableton 9.1
