Maschine templates

Mine came with the controller editor. I found templates in my common files folder which must have been installed when i installed the editor so they must be somewhere on your system. I don't know how maschine accesses them but i've had mackie control working. Only problem is it crashes Live...

 

txs tj.., hmm , quite a problem for a daw being crashed by its control template , gonna try the one coming with the ctrl editor. what do enable in ableton mackie control , mackie control xt ,mackie control classic.. ?

 

Well i'm on windows 7 rc so could be related to that. I haven't looked into it further cause i've been usiing maschine standalone but i would like to know the cause.

I have the ableton template anyway.

Mackie control in ableton according to the pdf. I haven't really messed with the settings due to the crashing. This could be a beta issue so i should get on it and report it in the bug tracker.

 

i'm using the ableton template anyway , but i'd like to control the drum rack, doesn 't seem to work with the mackie , think im gonna assign that myself

 

Be great to know if you get it working. I'm hardly using live since i got maschine so haven't really looked into it. Between the maschine, the ableton template and mcu you could have an almost complete controller for your daw.

 

Group MIDI Out Template all 16 Sounds from C1

okay, this is a MIDI Out Template that uses all 16 Sounds. Sound 1 - Pad 1- sends out MIDI Note 36 - C1, Pad 2 sends out MIDI Note 37, Pad 3 MIDI Note 38, etc, etc.

Use this for Sending MIDI Outputs to Battery or another Drum Maschine.

Please note this is a Group File. once you decompress it, load it into Maschine as a Group.

cubase contro

Hi,
i thought i´ll contribute to this thread and post my cubase settings using generic remote. The control numbers are a bit of a mess, as i changed it a couple of times and it might take a while to memorize the buttons. It gives acces to the functions i use the most but it´s a good starting point and can be personalized.
Only one pad page and 4 knob pages, the zip folder contains the template and the xml file that you can import as a generic remote device in cubase.

hi , thanks for your template i was working on my own until i saw your progress, so i decided to rework yours to my own liking, i will post up after some more testing, but wanted to thank you for your initial work.

hey guys, didnt read the whole topic so i just ask: is it possible to combine the clip control from the ableton template with the knobs displaying parameter names from the mackie control template? or did someone even upload a template that does that?

 

ok guys here is my cubase 5 edit.

quick note, make sure the send effects poisition is not moved just place your sends into the 4 empty sends that are in the template.

i have labeled all functions so open up in controller to see what the buttons do.

also to import the xml into cubase set up a generic controller then import the xml

ps if anyone wishes to add more functionality to the layout please do so and upload

i could nto think of any think else except trying to get the swing knob to control the scrub but it was impossible so the swing knob activates a reverse function

 

I am looking for the Maschine Controller Template for GURU...

I have the lastest version of Maschine for the PC version 1.1 and I don't have the GURU template included in the previous version. Could someone please email me the Guru.ncm file?

Swing - Block Loop Range
Note repeat - Block loop

Play - Play / Stop

Erase - Metronome
Restart - Pattern Loop
<Arrows> - <Track>
Grid - Quantize

Control/Step - <Upper Frame>
Browse/Sampling - <Middle Frame>
Snap/Auto - <Lower Frame>

Scene - Advanced Pattern Editor
Pattern - Pattern Matrix
Solo - Solo selected track
Mute - Mute selected track

Knob page 1: Track 1-8: Mute / Volume
Knob page 2: Track 1-8: Solo / Pan
Knob page 3: Track dsp (select, active, 8 parameters) + instrument select

Pad page A-D: Schedule Pattern (1-16, 17-32,..)
Pad page E-F: Midi notes (C-1, C0,..)


Issues: Track DSP parameters / Active doesnt update due to renoise not sending midi back

Just a work in progress.... mapped filter cutoff, resonance, attack, and decay release. I also mapped sub osc 1 and 2, and the noise level. Will post updates...

Anybody have a template to control traktor pro hot cues like the new vides on NI.

 

^ It's the traktor pro template you get with the controller editor, hit f2 on maschine to switch from play, sync cue play etc to hotcue for 16 pads (8 per deck)
Check the controller editor template documentation, page 43 & 44.
