Ok, I currently own Maschine and Traktor and was looking at purchasing a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 as an audio interface for recording and as a preamp. Here were the things I wanted to accomplish, please let me know if these are doable.

    1. Use Scarlett as preamp and audio card for when I DJ from Traktor, running audio out of Traktor, into Scarlett, that being my audio interface for output bypassing internal audio card in Traktor, then going straight to my amp. This way I have an actual pre-amp a better audio card, therefore less latency and drop-out issues.
    2. Use to record live input from mic or instrument into Maschine. How would I arrange this in Maschine through the input option, would it be in my Audio Preferances as a MIDI input? I am using Maschine MK1 1.8 software.

    Thanks so much guys.

I really have no idea of what your trying to achieve but I just wanted to say maybe your over thinking it........

Do you not have an NI box for Traktor?

With an Audio 10 DJ soundcard I run Maschine out 1/2 and Ableton out 3-10 to a DJ mixer....... and the Audio 8 DJ has a Mic preamp input. Audio 10 is just a line input I believe.

Plus with an NI box you'd be able to "Scratch".............
