I was wondering it is possible to use maschine (and Kores) transport controls (play and stop) to control logic. I dont know if mapping these will have any negative effects on using maschine and kore as a vst

there are the Mackie Control Templates, which i had issues with, so i haven't used them for a long time.

however, it is quite easy to use either the Kore or Maschine Controllers to Control Play/Stop/Record etc, in Logic as Logic has a Learn New Assignment. so if you put Maschine into MIDI Mode, - Control +Shift - you can easily use the Default Patch - with some small changes - to get the Maschine Controller to control Logic's Transport:

so open Key Commands in Logic - alt +k - find the Play assignment in Global, then click on Learn New Assignment and press the Play button on Maschine.

NB! you will need to change the Maschine Controller Play button from Toggle to either Trigger or Gate, that means you will need to open the Controller Editor Application to change this.

let me know if any of this makes sense ;)

It would be nice if they just detached the stop and play buttons from maschine (virtually) and allowed us to assign them a cc#, then we could leave maschine in normal controller mode and still be able to control our DAW's transport.......could be very easily implemented....

this is an ongoing feature request that i also really want.

i am not a coder, so i have no idea whether it would be "easy" in terms of how it would affect the current and future coding.

First off thanks for the reply. I appreciate your help in regards to this issue. I kinda understand what your saying but if I go into Midi Mode will I not loose the native maschine controls within logic? I am happy using maschine as it, i just think it would be nice to have the transports assigned instead of always having to use the mouse/keyboard. I think Im more after something like what Christan had said, the ability to detach the transports from the controller while still using maschine as its own controller.

    Does that make sense?

as i said it is a long running Feature Request.

to flip between to the 2 Modes, MIDI and Controller, you just press Shift + Control.
