MASCHINE+ update 1.2.14 is out now

Looking forward to an update that includes support for the Komplete Kontrol MK2 series. Is that on the roadmap? if so, when?

Thank you for the update. Can you confirm that you will make the code more efficient as the processor appears to be put under considerable pressure when running relatively few operations?

Crashes are worse then before the update Are not able to use the maschine long enough to get more then 3 tracks running. From a crash every few days to a crash every few minutes.
Currently the maschine that worked more or less fine until an hour ago now isn't useable anymore
How can I roll back to an older version?

 

yeah same for me currently.... might consider doing a system reset, but hey that's not how its supposed to be :/

 

Well at least I’m not the only one who is still experiencing crashes. I’ve adapted to saving my project just about every time I make a change and have load last project on so I can still work with the M+, but I really shouldn’t have to do that. I’m not sure if it’s worse than the previous version or not, but it’s crashing multiple times every day that I use it.

 

Guys... Providing some propper info of what you were doing when the crashes happen is the best way to get it fixed, especially if you can provide steps of reproduction.

 

Can there be a crash report sticky?

When I downloaded crate cuts it would freeze when I tried to load a kit. I fixed it with a power cycle.

I am also noticing that some issues are better fixed with disconnection from power than a simple restart.

I am also in love with this thing. Any screen protection suggestions?

 

Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to the crashes; it just freezes for a few seconds and restarts, sometimes while I’m doing things but often it’s when the M+ is idling and I’m not doing anything at all. Sometimes the CPU usage is as low as 9% when it does crash.

However, I am hitting 100% CPU with only two groups loaded from Anima Ascent and Meteoric Rise. Even one of your demo projects from Anima Ascent - Limit Sky is unplayable.
Please fix the CPU spikes before adding anything else.
Perhaps you could add a selectable audio buffer size?

 

I'm getting CPU spikes too, but for me the display will tell me I am at 40-60 percent but when I trigger a pad I get a CPU spike. It happens with just one Crate Cuts group. Oddly, it only clips when triggering manually, if you use note repeat it doesn't clip the CPU. Something seems fishy.

So far all other crash/memory issues seem to be fixed with a hard reset.

I am still loving the sexiest Maschine I have ever touched, however, I think the honeymoon period may end soon if I have to randomly power cycle and unplug the power adaptor 1-2 times a session.

 

I tried this and was not able to reproduce the CPU spike issues even when I brought the load up to idle around 65%. Previously I was getting CPU spike distortions around 40%.

No indication that this improved the other glitches that require power change but I will try again tonight under more CPU stress for a solid couple hours and report back.

 

So I was able to reproduce the issue. I think it has more to do with Maschine 2 than Plus as I have experienced this issue in controller mode with Mk3 in the past.

The CPU clipping seems to only happen when the play head is stopped and the mean load is above 40%. Once I hit play the CPU crunch at the onset of each note goes away.

 

Well I did as you instructed when I booted the M+, and oddly enough I didn’t have a single crash today! Woohoo! I even left it idle for about an hour and a half and no crash.
