Maschine users and The New MySpace

I never thought I'd be saying this...but The New MySpace is pretty legit. I got my invite a few days ago and wanted to give it a solid run before I shared my feelings but I think it's going to eclipse Soundcloud and Facebook as a place for artists to network and connect. I'm sure there will be a network of Maschine users as well....

So far here's a few details


-2GB of total storage

-Connections: You make Connections with other artists (similar to following/followers)

good find - the 2 gig limit is way better than paying for a soundcloud account.

somehow a myspace page also feels more personal if you get me.

i reckon i will be joining the re-revolution and see how it pans out

 

I like it too. I'm a webdesigner and I really dig their new look. Serious money has been invested.

I was thinking the same thing: that it's a combo of Soundcloud & FB.

 

Think they'll find it hard to claw back all their user base when it comes to personal accounts as most people just use Facebook now.

Anyone ever seen the graph showing Facebook Users Vs MySpace Users when people started leaving? It's like an exact "X" with one going down while the other going up.

Fair enough offering it for bands though I could see folk using it.

Design is nice.

my space was good until 07 then comercialisation ruined the site, loss of vision and what have u.

 

i like the new look, but i still prefer soundcloud!

 

there's an option when signing up to be personal or artist. I almost missed it.

must say i'm liking it so far, spent an hour surfing the new music/artist stuff. it's like spotify/soundcloud and facebook mixed.

you become an artist by uploading non-copyrighted music to your page! thats straight from a mod thats emailing me. I'm guessing that you have to have musician or dj/producer selected as profile type also.
