Maschine vs MPD for Logic..WHY?

I don't really have the $$ to spend on a maschine but may consider if its really that much better. I dont care much about the maschine having samples as I already have a ton so lets leave that part out for now

Is a well setup MPD as good as a Maschine in terms of beatmaking and sequencing within Logic? Would love to hear some points on why its so much better, I also would be not using the maschine to control logic or anythign so leave that pout also..lets discuss in terms of beatmaking only

 

MPD is a midi controller

Maschine is a hybrid hardware/software system

if you just want something to give you a hands on feel when working in Logic, you want a midi controller

If you want a new hands on piece of gear, which has it's own sounds and sequencing abilities get maschine.

it sounds like you just want a pad controller.

a well setup MPD will never be the same as working with the Maschine hardware and software they were made specifically for each other.

The MPD was made to work with various software applications.

I did sell it unfortunately, but didn't get to really use it with logic. I was using ableton then

 

sounds like you sold it for no reason (except that you never hit SHIFT + MIDI button!)
