Maschine with Pro tools 8

I created my first song today with Maschine and Protools 8. I created all of the beats and rhythm elements in Maschine and then opened up PT8 and inserted a Maschine track. I programmed 4 scenes in Maschine and created program changes with an automation track. I then inserted a lot of additional VIs in PT8 and everything worked properly. I additionally split out some of the Maschine tracks to PT8 aux tracks and placed UAD and TC Electronics plug-ins on them. I am very impressed with Maschine and it is already streamlining my workflow.

I do recommend using Maschine as a stand alone first as it really helped in learning the environment before added other elements.

and i agree with you 100% about spending sometime in Standalone Mode before integrating Maschine in your favourite DAW.

i have used Maschine as a plugin in Pro Tools ME 7.4. i press the Pro Tools Play button and Maschine syncs.

A bit off topic, and i do apologize, but it beats making a new thread. How do you like pro-tools 8? is it worth the upgrade from 7.4?

 

My ProTools 8 isn't showing the Maschine plugin on the Instruments list. I'm sure I installed everything (even the VST support). Any ideas?

have you updated to the latest version (1.0.3) or Maschine?

have you checked that the plugin is in your Pro Tools plugin folder?

hi, how do I get it so when i press play on maschine - it plays pro tools? Currently it only works with having to press play on pro tools first. (would like to just use maschine to do main sequencing/recording and pro tools for mixing and rtas plugs side of things).....? must be able to do some how ?

 

Maschine out of sync with pro tools 8.03

I have a little issue with the sync in pro tools and maschine, it seems that every other bar the downbeat in maschine is left out, I have tried various things, and I cant seem to get it to play every bar from beat 1. Is there anything i need to do?

the latest beta version, 1.5.0.5148. I have tried reverting to older versions and the same result, i dont know what else to do.
