maschine wont install

so ive had maschine for about 3 weeks, and have decided it needs to go in my main set up not just my dj rig.

so ive hooked it into my pc, but cant install the any of it from the factory disc, i insert the disc into my pc and i can hear it spin but does nothing, if i double click the drive in my computer it says please insert a blank disc.

ive also tried to run it trough cmd prompt and that wont work, cmd prompt recognises a disc is in there but just says the device is not ready.

anyone got any ideas ?

ive just tried a few other discs and all are working fine just not the maschine disc

also ive put the maschine disc into my macbook and working fine... so no problems with the disc.

 

i noticed problems like this on windows 7, began 2/3 months ago, that can't read/burn cd/dvd nymore... but that was with cd/dvd that i burnt myself.
There are solutions on the net (mainly about installing another burning software, cdburnerxp, it seems to solve something about that, my dvd-burner are recognized now).
I thought i would mentionned it, but may be your problem is different (disc dirty and this drive does not want it, for example).

 

The Maschine controller SHOULD NOT be plugged in during installation.

 

maschine isnt plugged in, the only things plugged in is my ethernet cable, mouse and keyboard

 

Ok, I see you said that you put the disc into your Macbook and it worked fine....

Are you aware that Maschine comes with Two Install Discs?

One for Mac & One for PC


Are you sure you aren't trying to install the Mac version onto your PC?

 

No i wasnt, but my maschine came with one, which states it is both a mac and windows install disc, ive veryfied it as ive installed it onto another pc i have and it worked fine (the other pc is slightly lower spec than the one im trying to install it on)

the confusing thing is i tried to install C&C earlier and it wouldnt read the disc either, yet it will read the windows OS disc, the pc recognises ive put a disc in but wont load it, if i go trough explorer and try and open it from the dvd drive icon it says insert a disc.

im also having problems with my NI audio interface with this pc aswell, i wont go there though ive nearly fixed that

 

Sorry that must be a new thing, when I purchased my maschine in '09 it came with two seperate install discs.

Idk what else to tell you other than it seems like your cd drive is the problem
