    Hey guys,

This may or may not interest anyone. I saw something similar to this on eBay but couldn't justify the cost especially the postage to Australia. So I just went ahead and made my own.

Just cut a couple of pieces of hardwood, drilled a couple of holes and stuck some dowel in with a bit of wood glue. I originally planned on drilling shallow holes so you couldn't see the dowel from the outside but I drilled right through one by mistake and couldn't have been bothered cutting another piece of timber.

I've done some sanding and added a few coats of lacquer since this photo. I'll also need to get some rubber feet as it does tend to move if I'm really whaling on the pads.

I am totally into DIY things (Dremels rule).... Very good, .... good idea, good job, looks good :)

I think it improves the look of the MIkro... classy...

    Thanks guys!

So do I lol, it really wasn't hard though. I just took to some hardwood with a saw, drilled two holes in each piece and used wood glue to secure the dowel in place. I used oak dowel because pine had too much flex for my liking.

My mate has the full Maschine. He's in NZ now but when he gets back I'm going to make one for him. I might make a photo diary of it in case anyone else is thinking of making one but don't think they can do it for some reason.

I really like the look of the wood with Maschine. Looks kind of retro, especially now it tilted. I find it better to use now too coming from an MPC 2000.

This looks brilliant, easily as good as those found on Ebay.
I've always wanted to attempt this so my Maschine Mikro could match my Microkorg (I seem to like wood and micro-gear...)
Shame I never seem to have the time nor skills for this :(

A Diary of one for a full Maschine would be cool to see definitely!
