Instead of saving your user patches one by one, you should be able to import them all in one go into the Maschine browser. Would save a lot of time and hassle for those of us who prefer to design and use our own sounds.

    agree 100%

i have loads of self-made Reaktor patches and of course there are loads of great User Library uploads.

Batch Import is a great idea

Yes, this will be very important.

Doing a lot of sound design in FM8 and Massive and also in Kontakt.
I would have to resave more than 1000 presets.

Even better would be the ability to access the internals of an NI executable from a command line.

Then, whether you use PC or Mac you will be able to write a small, simple script to do things like import banks of folder trees, etc.

Naturally, most won't write these, but a few will - and they are easy to share via posts.

For example, suppose Absynth had a command line switch:

    Absynth -import <filename>.ksd -export <filename>.nabs

where it input a KSD file and output a NABS file

A simple shell script could read a set of files and make these calls.

I could imagine scripts that set colors, ratings, and other attributes as well as text inputs and outputs of preset data that can help ameliorate problems brought about by the lack of user access to the NI user databases.

    Absynth -set "color=red" -set "rating=5" -file xyz.nabs

And how about editing a preset by hand:

    Absynth -export-xml xyz.nabs -file xyz.xml

edit xyz.xml in a text editor, then

    Absynth -import-xml xyz.xml -export xyz.nabs

Gone back to working with Massive and FM8 in Ableton which is SERIOUSLY cutting down my maschine time when I'm working on new projects.

Haven't used my Maschine for about 3 weeks now and its only 5 weeks old!

    Up to you NI..
