After downloading the 1.3.0 update from the service centre I find I have loads of new folders in Massives browser packed full of sounds.

The folders have names like Urban Arsenal & Massive Expansion so I'm assuming these must be the Kore Soundpacks which are no longer available.

Thanks very much for these NI

Sounds about right. Cool stuff. I wonder if the Deep Series of FX (Deep Freq, etc) are going to be available somewhere? Maybe in Reaktor?

So basically there are no "new" sounds? I have all of this as Kore2 soundpacks, it seems that NI tricked us claiming it as NEW. Is it right NI?

Things like this happen all the time, I can remember when you had to buy extra synths from Emagic to use in Logic - now they're all included as part of the package. Then more recently you had to buy the Jampacks - now they are all included as part of the package.

I can't think of how many things I've bought over the years that have ended up included as part of a package I've then went & bought a year or two later, in this case though I had only bought Massive Threat prior so I feel like this time around I'm a winner - next time it could be you.

I can only welcome the integration of the former soundpacks into Massive, FM8 and Absynth. The problem I have is that NI claimed it as they added NEW sounds and it's not, in fact those sounds are pretty old by now. All they had to do is just to say exactly that, the soundpacks are not going into oblivion but live on as a part of the instrument libraries. That would be totally fine, but don't advertise it as something new. A bit sneaky on their part I think...

Anyway, free sounds. I can't exactly complain.

I also only bought Massive Threat and Urban Arsenal 2, so I'm stoked personally and glad to see I maybe won't need to have kore 2 player loaded ever again to get at any UA2 material I have, most of which wasn't impressive enough to want to just only have kore2 installed for one library basically.

Well, I bought Komplete Elements last summer when it was 99 usd with a 60 usd voucher that I used on Balinese Gamlan though too and Rammfire with the 30 usd voucher from maschine, so a lot of stuff I did have before, but overall I'd say with getting Komplete 8 Ultimate crossgrade from Maschine I should be coming out ahead still.

The lesson is mostly I guess, if you have money to get new stuff right away, you do and if you are on a budget, stick to getting the Kompletes, especially now that they seem apt to want to make a real 'Komplete' with Ultimate and future Ultimates.

My question will be if Ultimate 9 or 10 will be 199 usd upgrade like as if you were to upgrade from regular Komplete 7 to 8 etc, will the Ultimate to Ultimate upgrades be 199. I guess that will depend on how much content they come out with in one years time.

Would like to apologize for my slight negative comments towards NI, the included soundpacks are not advertised as "new" but in fact as "additional". My bad, I need to read the package info more carefully. NI I love you! :p

massive is quickly becoming one of my main go to synths, love it and the presets are awesome, alot of variety, need to spend some time and tweak and build a few patches myself.

and i have not even gone through 75% of the sounds will take me a while to really open her up.

not gonna happen, deep series make extensive usage of kore's capabilities, reaktor is just a small piece of the puzzle that deep fx are.

however, the creator of deep fx said he's got something new in mind after the whole kore thing, so perhaps we'll have something similar somewhere. it might not have anything to do with NI, though.

Yeah I noticed all the new folders and went "What the fikkin' Frack were they there before?" Are these why my Kore player won't work?

This is really great but makes it hard to browse for sounds as that browser does NOT work properly. Not as it should. Plus I'm looking for Drum sounds are there ANY in there?
