After installing the most recent upgrade maschine won't load massive. As well as this the option for external plugs ins isn't available. It is affect new as well as old projects. I have tried rescanning several times with no luck. Please help!

    Hello,

Been Having the same problem and i've spent about 5 hours trying to fix it. I think it might be that the file extension is .nmsv and the mac can't read it. Any help?

Same as, added 3rd party plugin dll's into the various plugin folder locations the mschine will scan & does notice them & add them to the library but there just is no option to load them as an instrument in the browser - FM7 & Donk Machine

@wadjet... Completely different thing to the issue the OP is having. BROWSE brings up all plugins for which you've presets into the Maschine browser, SHIFT + BROWSE brings up a list of all installed plugins.

No 32 bit plugins load for me, I probably confused things saying browser instead of drop down list but, can't stand being on forums at stupid o'clock trying to make software that I spent £500 on to work the way it should, I should be makin tunes not wasting time tracking & fixing NI's bugs, for £500 a pop we should get a bit better service than this.

@wadjet - you are probably running Maschine in 64bit mode then

ok my problem is solved it simply required a re scan of the library in 32 bit mode. everything works as it should now

Whats everybody.. i'm having exactly the same problem that you guys are hashing out on here (trying to get my External Plug-ins to work in the Maschine 2.0 upgrade). a cool dude on the Future Producers forum ("Griffin"), pointed me towards this post. i'm going to try what you've suggested here (i have a 64-bit computer too). But i agree with "Wadjet", after being made to spend $99 (in U.S. dollars) for an upgrade, we should not have to come on forums to hash out the bugs so that it can work for us. We want to be creating, not being mad scientist, in forums. But thanks for this post, i've been trying to hash this out for over a month, calling Native on the phone, emailing.. blah, blah, blah. so you presented a good nugget here.. Peace

I´ve got the same problem here and followed all advices (rescanning in 32&64bit, deleting of the *.db in the app-data folder,...) - but NO success :-/
    Incredibly annoying!!!
Let´s see when and what the support will write back....

If someone had any other hints I´d be very thankfull!

i think what you guys are suggesting is to run the 32 bit version of Maschine 2 instead of the 64 bit version.. & load the Plug-ins/VSTs there & work in the 32 bit version... BUT.. will the 32 bit version of Maschine 2 work on a 64 Bit Computer.?? or will it crash.. i'm at work now so i can't test it.

The answer to the Mystery.. is simply.. even with a 64-Bit Operating System (OS) on your computer, if you want to use 32 Bit Plug ins, then you need to use Maschine 2.0's 32 Bit Software.. the 64 Bit Software is not recognizing the 32 Bit plug ins. i did a few test on my 32 Bit computer first, & all the plug ins were recognized. then i went to my Computer with Windows 8 (64 Bit), & i brought up Maschine 2.0's 32 Bit Software.. & installed the Plug ins (using the Installers) & then opened Maschine, 1) clicked on "File" on the top left corner & went to the Preferences menu 2) Clicked "Locations" 3) Clicked "Add" & went exactly to where the Plugin folder i wanted was installed (i used Image-line's "Morphine").. 4) clicked on the Plug-ins folder.. 5) when it appears in the "Locations" window, choose the Plug in you want, so that its the only one Highlighted 6) then click "Rescan" .. when the scan is finished, click "close" 7) Then select a group, right under where it says "New Project" 8) Go to that box underneath "Sound 1" (right next to the Plug symbol) & click the "+" sign 9) when the drop down menu appears go up to "External" & your Plugin (VST) will be in there.. Important Note: If its an INSTRUMENT Plug in, it needs to ALWAYS go in the 1st "Sound 1" Slot underneath "Group".. if its an Effect you can put it in any slot.

Note #2: if you have a Plug in that is simply a DLL file, (that doesn't require a full install) you can drop that into a Folder (like on your desk top), & do the same steps above.. & its simple.. the DLL will be picked up after you scan it

Thanks Griffin for directing me to where some answers were.. it was easy to figure out one i new not to use the 64 Bit version wiht 32 Bit Plug ins.. now i can start out 2014 doing these beats in Machine 2.0..

I'm getting it to load different plug ins now but it still won't load massive for whatever reason. I really think that it has to be the extension .nmsv because the icon shows a picture that reads .exec which shouldn't work for a mac. Any help out there? : / been stuck for over a week on this bloody thing.
