Hey guys, I'm fairly new to massive and synths in general and I struggle to recognize aspects of sounds by ear and recreating them in my own synth tones. Right now I'm stuck on this synth sound from Pompelmo by Chong the Nomad. It's a sandy-sounding synth riff that starts at 0:27 -

Can you guys help me remake this sound? I'm super lost and don't even know if the bending is a modulation wheel or a slide effect, or what oscillator to use. My best guess is a pitch bend wheel and a saw wave of some sort?

It's a weird sound and hard to hear clearly. You probably need to stack up a few OSCs with same Wt and transpose the second to make some chorded sound (+3 / +5 / +7? or go weird). Also bring down the transposed OSC's Amp to attenuate the chord feel.... There are some EQing too that makes this boxiness. Try adding some heavy parallel compression. Then experiment with the waveforms and settings, I can't give you a recipe for this one but I would start with these...

And I think it's MIDI pitch too. Also can hear very short slap back delay.

I've probably learned more from looking up some of the stuff you've just said that from most guides I've read. Even if I haven't really been able to recreate the sound. I'll keep experimenting though, tysm
