Massive X is a risk for the brand's strategy

I liked Special DSP before, but they are mostly specific to their own product, I had a Scope platform (Creamware).
So the thing is not the CPU performance in general, in circumstances which are different from audio. I don't see very good improvement with audio performance over the last ten years, maybe I am wrong.
I think saving computer's resources makes sense today

 

Stop processing an entire track when muted (a channel mixer I guess) may have some problem in liveset because of the organization of the mixing structure and because in livesets tracks are muted frequently and fast, more frequently than changing the sound with Program Change sometimes.
Ableton Live shuts down the plugin itself instead of the track, but still they admit it take a big amount of resources when working with multiple instances.
Program Change is for livesets mainly, in production it is ok to use multiple instances.

As I've already explained, using mid range chips, this is patently false. If I used higher end chips, then the difference would be greater still.

If you're unwilling to stand by your own words, then I see no particular reason why I should waste my time engaging with someone who believes they can simply wave their hand like a King and have everyone just say "Yes, Sire, very well Sire".

I'm not even going to entertain your comments about FX, because you'll continue to move the goalposts whilst refusing to listen to facts. That is more your issue than it is mine.

You made a claim, I showed it to be wrong. I'd respect you more if you admitted that, or even if you stood by the claims you made (no mater how wrong) but as it is, all I can do is wish you a wonderful evening.

Yes I wrote that sentence about instances, but again I don't think internal FX are not decent enough, just more variety with externals. When I wrote many instances I mean more than 50 synths, a typical live-set.
Anyway as you wrote the word "respect" with conditional mode, maybe the description you make of me is not that real.
Anyway I found more interesting details about CPU speed and audio software just few posts above.
