Massive X has become my go-to software synth, based on quality of sound, intelligible UI, Routing page (great!), modularity. It's totally inspiring to work with, except for one thing. I can't work the controls with my Wacom tablet/pen, and have to switch to a rollerball mouse to adjust the knobs. Every other audio app I use lets me use the tablet. For example, Ableton Live has a tablet mode.

I would also find it very useful to be able to [Alt]-click a control and type in an exact value. Or to use arrow keys to tweak a control that has focus. That would be an alternative workaround to the tablet/pen issue.

Other improvements would be welcome as well, including browser improvements (tagging, faves), an undo feature, ability to copy or save component presets for Performers, Insert FX, Stereo FX. But the tablet/pen thing is my number one stumbling block in using MX.

Upgrades of less importance to me personally:

Wavetable import/export. With all the wavetable options (like ART mode), and available audio-rate modulations (like from audio-rate, keytracking LFOs) it's possible to make unlimited different sounds off of a basic sine oscillator, let alone the many other included wavetables.

Second primary filter. With the available parallel/serial SVF and the basic filters in the Utility insert effect, there are already ways to do dual filters.

Parameter automation. I'm OK with routing automation through the 16 macros, especially since it's so easy to reassign macros to parameters. (I actually have the 16 macros permanently mapped to an Alias8 controller, and reassign them to controls I want to tweak. Another workaround to the table/pen issue.)

Animation of wavetable or modulator displays. Would be nice, but I can live without it, especially since external scopes and spectrum analyzers are available.

Hope these comments are useful. Keep up the good work.

My highest priority enhancement is to make the browser for User patches more flexible. Allow for folders so that categorizing one's own patches becomes easy and a memory-aid.
