I have a Vestex VCI-100 I run with a MacBook (black). I am trying to get a working Monitor (cue) output. I have a iMic USB as well. When I choose the Soundcard, you can only choose one or the other (the Mac output or the iMic) and they only have the two-channel out. I assume, this being stereo, I can only run the two-channels out the Master which leave me no Monitor Out.

I also tried running through a Hercules MK2 but the cueing is all messed up (Monitor comes out Master even with the Cue button lit in Traktor Pro).

    Am I missing something here?

Traktor expects a multichannel sound device. You can't use a separate device for your monitor out, it expects you to map your main outs and monitor outs to different outputs of a single device.

There are loads of nice multi-channel USB audio interfaces out there. Since you've invested in the vci-100, I guess it's not unreasonable to suggest that you also get a nice multichannel interface to keep it company.

Meantime, there is a kludge you can use. It's not ideal, but it works pretty well. Have a look at:

Don't let that dissuade you from picking out a nice multi-channel interface though, it's much nicer (and it will probably have a better headphone amp too, yay).

    Anyhow, hope that helps.

Thanks for the link. That helps me out alot. I also was doing a bit of pebcak there as I forgot about Traktor's Mix/Phone volume knobs that I had hidden (DOH!).

I got everything working on a Hercules MK2 which is both a controller and soundcard with 4 input/4 outputs.
