    Hi all,

I am a TSP user and have been working with the 'Auto Gain' feature enabled. I noticed today that most tracks are going 'into the red' on the level meter within Traktor, after Auto Gain has adjusted them.

I'm not sure if this is usual (my previous experience with music apps and technology suggests I avoid this!) I'm wondering if I've done something to upset it, or messed around with the master volume to make it clip.

What is the master volume set at by default? At +/- 0, the level goes into the red. I know I can adjust this stuff to suit, but I'm annoyed that this has suddenly started happening, as the Auto Gain feature seemed to be working a treat before.

    EDIT:

As an example, when I load one track, the auto-gain feature bumps this to +4.1, which makes it WAY too loud.

Is there a way to return all setting to their defaults?

    Sorry, but bump.

TSP users, please answer me this - when your master volume is set at -/+ 0, do your tracks go into the red on both your TSP and your external mixer?

Is it natural to have to reduce the master volume down somewhat initially?

Yeah, not sure what's going on with auto-gain/limiter, found a few instances where things have been obviously distorting so just switched it off and turned down the master too. Auto gain's a great idea but POS implementation as far as I can see...sorry chaps.
