I know a bunch of us want a feature where you can flag two tracks that "work well" together.

To take it one step further, I would also like to be able to flag two tracks as NOT working well together. (It doesn't have anything to do with key/genre/etc.)

Perhaps another column in the browser with a green-light/red-light gauge to show these pairings.

Just a personal preference, but I don't like Rekordbox's side menus. Too cluttered for me. (My poor eyes.)

I would rather use the new column/attribute in smartlists. When/if you can use the currently playing track as the criteria (I think NI might have said that this might be possible in the future), I would add a line to most all my smartlists saying "AND WORKS-WELL IS NOT FALSE WITH PLAYING TRACK". (I know that english is terrible, but you get the idea?)

I agree that the sidebar doesn't look pretty, but it adds a second layer of functionality. We can also add functions in the side menu such as
    - tags
    - matching tracks that sound good together
    - tag editing window
    - second browser window
    - automix, where we can drag tracks and they will play as in a regular media player.

and most of the time the side menu is closed, so it doesn't cause much of a problem, no?

I agree the column is needed, where it will be shown how many tracks are compatible with this track in our collection. I see it this way.
That is, the side menu slides out only if we click on the magnifying glass in the column "Match tracks"

I don't quite understand how you want to connect the tracks using the color in the column? After all, color are limited?

    Just a visual aid. Green/Red True/False Yes/No 1/0

To be honest, I don't understand how this will work. The column "match tracks" should contain only a number, because there are not enough colors for all combinations in the library

We have a playlist of for example 100 tracks, and for example in this playlist there are 10 combinations of 5 tracks, which sound good together,
how do we do it visually with just two colors?

Similar to my display mods, there could be a dynamic gauge in the "match" column. It displays red/green based on whether it matches with the master track.

(I put color/shape gauges next to BPM and Key in my browser mods. They change based on the current master track.)
