Maximizing "Global Section"

I am running a 17" macbook with four decks and four effects... Instead of having the efx stacked like in the attachment, I would like to hide the tempo section and record section. I have been looking for this option for quite some time now, on my smaller macbook 13" there is a button to show and hide, but not on my big unit.

As you can see from the photo, I would like effect one and three side by side instead of stacked, and the tempo section to be hidden, is this possible?

 

i just had the same,
could not find the checkboxes to set one view to fx 1 left / fx 2 right, and one view to midi /sync / metronome left / recording right. (that`s on a big screen)
on my 13", i have it set up that way.
maybe that`s when the resolution is capable to show both, then the GUI just shows it,
and when resolution is not big enough, you have to decide wich you want to display.
could not believe it first, but it looks like exactly this is happening.

 

you can define them in two layouts and then switch between the layouts via one click with a hotkey...
