    Hello Everyone,

Here is the latest update from inside of NI covering May & June 2020.

We’ve been talking about the Maschine arranger a lot, and the teams have been working on this very hard, even in these difficult times. There has been an Alpha version out on Centercode for a while now, and we’ve been getting very valuable feedback on this (thank you to everyone testing it). In the coming weeks, our Product Owner Kai will give you a more detailed update on this, and show how it will look. In fact, Kai plans to post some updates in the Maschine forum next week...the team is grabbing screenshots, etc. now to post.

Alongside working hard on that, there is also an update for the Maschine and Komplete Kontrol software coming up. We expect, if all goes well, for it to land in July. These updates will contain the “asynchronous background scan” feature, which means that content is being scanned in the background from now on. In other words, you won’t get those scanning pop ups anymore that keep you from using Maschine. And this next release will also have numerous bug fixes.

Please note that the asynchronous background scan only works for content, so if you install a new VST or AU plugin, it will be scanned the regular way.

We know a large number of you want Traktor product updates. The Traktor team is currently working on the 3.4 update and we’d encourage all of you who are interested to check out the first browser improvements by joining our public beta test
    (https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/forums/traktor-pro-public-beta-test.393/).

In regards to Traktor, there will also be some other highly asked for updates coming out in the beta test in the near future. No spoiler alerts today but this will be where you’ll see and hear about the changes first.

Finally - no doubt many of you are aware of the conversations taking place in regards to NI and Diversity & Inclusion inside our company. I just want to say as an Exec at NI, I stand firmly behind this post and want to make it clear that NI (and our employees) feel strongly that corporations have a social responsibility to do what we feel is the right thing to make the world a better place. We will never get this perfect but avoiding the situation - or not making the effort - is not an acceptable outcome.

    Best,
    Paul

Just curious, can anyone get Native Instruments to respond to support submittals? I've emailed them several times about issues with "session guitarist strummed acoustic" playing past where the midi stops and no response. I'm here in Nashville in the music industry and it's become a standing joke to get any support from Native Instruments. We're loosing faith in this company fast.

You could/should ask in the Kontakt forum, because it sounds as if your Playback latch mode is not set to "Stop Instantly"...

If you need further clarification it is covered on page 28 of the manual.

Are you able to expand a little bit on the future of Maschine - for example last time you mentioned that the sequencer side was being worked on. Is there any further news on this. I can understand that things take time but it would be good to know where we are headed and if this something that is likely to be within a few months or for much further down the line.

Yeah, maschine is my workhorse and I love it so much, but it could be the best DAW on the market if it's handled and updated right. The arranger could be huge, as well as less restrictive options for pattern automation and arranging. Looking forward to whatever's next.

    Hey Chad!
    Thanks for the feedback.

Can I ask how you contacted us?

This question is not really something that our support teams would be able to address but if it reached us, we would definitely not send you away. I'm wondering if you didn't use a no reply address or another email not linked to our support system. Happy to look into it once I know more :)

Our info email is not an email monitored by our support team and so that is probably why you received more information on how to contact us.
We are looking into implementing different contact options on our website itself so you can easily contact other teams in the near future. I'll make sure to forward it to them now so they can edit the resellers list asap.

If you have a question regarding an order, payments or shipping options, you can contact our order team on our website here: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/sections/360000092537
You'll find a live chat from 1pm PST as well if you need immediate assistance ;)

I have to agree with you there, specifically since there is a whole page dedicated to listing countries that do not qualify for free shipping...(link below)

    https://www.native-instruments.com/...fees-payment/countries-with-no-free-shipping/

this link should be included in the additional information for clarity... An Oversight? Maybe, but creates confusion and Unsatisfied Customers and this Poster is a perfect example.

Its actually 6 hours a day... but depending on the time zone you are in, you might have to get up pretty early or stay up late!

Can you guys please add a feature in maschine that allows you to see ghosts channels in the piano roll? basically a feature where you can view two piano rolls at once from different patterns. FL studio and many other daws Have implemented this feature and it is extremely helpful, many other maschine users have requested in the past as well for many years now

    Hey Notanon, Hey all,

yes, we are currently holding back the planned post for MASCHINE after Apple announced macOS Big Sur and made their Betas available.
Before announcing more details on our next release, we first want to investigate how much effort it will take to make our products compatible and to update our planning accordingly. Whilst we know that Apple makes their announcements around the same time at WWDC each year, we never know exactly what will change until then. In this case there are some topics that will need our attention.

So we decided to not post an update just yet. I think it is better this way around as opposed to making and announcement and not being able to deliver what we promised in the end ;)

Hope this helps and thanks for your patience! As soon as this all is clarified, we will proceed and share an update
