maybe new traktor(what ever version) layout

CAN you PLEASE maki it? Just one hot key and to jump into "zoom" mode for better beatmatching. I think it can be done very fast, it`s just layout. It will be much easier.

 

Uhm...phase meter?

You have the phase meter on both those decks. Why do you need some ugly waveform that takes up the whole screen?

 

@chilly for beatmatching. sometimes its so hard to find the right bpm so this will be instant help. Why not? You can use it while you are looking for bpm and then switch back to regular screen. ok delete one phase meter.

 

That's what the phase meter is for. Set Beatgrids and use the phase meter. Done.

Beatmatch with your ears btw. Much better than visual representations.

 

phase meter are not always right, in my case more wrong then it should be. so this will be ultimate help. again why not?

 

A) Because they aren't going to change Traktor Scratch or T3.

B) It's not a 'simple' layout change

C) If you set your Beatgrids properly, the phase meter won't ever be off. So the functionality is already there, you're just not using it.

if some songs have variable bpm this will help see it on the fly, so we can try correct it. etc

B) yes it is. If you can add in click of a button another 2 decks and remove mixers and FX, you cant tell me that it can`t be done as simple as implemnted layout changes (its just zoom option).

C)I don`t want to set beatgrids. I just want this option so beatgrid for a lot of people wont be necessary if they are not going to use a lot of loop jumping etc. options with sync on.

actually a Zoom option (deeper than the 3 existing positions) for beatgridding would be very handy.. already posted it in the feature requests.

Ok, we know what the op is getting at here. Waveforms on top of each other which, makes a nice change from the usual "serato has vertical waveform wah wah wah" we hear.

The main problem with this idea is that virtually eveything else that you need to DJ with as in, the mixer section is missing.

Anyway, never gonna happen. Not in T3 as we all know and certainly not even on the radar for Pro in fact a gypsy wouldnt even predict this one.

Cant fault a guy with an idea though..!

I can agree with the stacked waveforms when working with controllers + Pro.

Since testing Itch with the NS7, I see the benefits of stacked waveforms. It's a logical layout when you have a laptop directly infront of you.

I actually put in a feature request for a similiar layout already.

It would require some development to add an extra layout but the option would be there if needed, no one would be forced to use it.

I personally would only use that type of layout when using the NS7 + Pro.

You should Beatgrid your tracks and use the phase meter.

With the Pro layout it would be even easier to make this happen. It would just mean moving the mixer section. Maybe making it run flat under the waveform.
It would mean some real change to the UI but its not hard to imagine.
