Would adding a Mac cleaning program like Mackeeper interfere with Kontakt5?

I have it on an iMac. No problems with it. In the interest of minimalism, I'll leave it alone and off the Macbook Pro.

    I wouldn't touch that program with a ten-foot pole.

In theory, no, it shouldn't mess with Kontakt, but there is plenty of other great software (including free -- google for Titanium Onyx) which does similar duties with no risk of malware.

Thanks for the tip. I got rid of Mackeeper and used Onyx.

I have no problems with MacKeeper, apart from the annoying advertisements. I got it because I needed a duplicate finder (shrank the Kontakt 4 library to 80%) and the Binaries Cutter saves 13% of disk space. The only thing I'm not happy about is that you can't leave duplicates with different names out of the search.

Onyx is working for me. When I used Mackeeper's duplicates remover, it wiped out my Neo-soul piano downloads and I had to call Jamal and get it re-installed - that did it . Maybe I'll try the security program.
