If he's asking what I'd like to know - You have two different patterns - you want to merge them into 1 longer pattern.

ie: You create a pattern, split it into a new one, build it up, split that into a new one, etc.

Being able to merge those 3 separate patterns into 1 longer pattern.

again, there's nothing like merge, but you can of course just copy & paste the notes.

That's all I do. Hadn't really thought about it any other way, altho that's probably cuz I aint never had a hard ware machine sequencer before so its 2nd nature to hit the mouse and highlight!

can be a little difficult and time consuming though

    +1 for a merge feature

what i like do 2 is sometimes make 4 bar loops while the first 3 repeat and the last bar changes. what i want 2 do is make a 1 bar pattern and set it 2 3 bars in the step menu and then make a new 1 bar pattern for the change up and then merge those 2 into 1 4 bar pattern. if this is done with the scenes or pattern it wont really make a difference for me as long as i get this out of it. any1 know of an easy way 2 do that?

easiest way I can see is:

    make the 1 bar pattern

    double it in Maschine hardware

    double it again

goto pads and steps and change the last bar to your taste......

well you still have to nudge around the notes and adjust the pattern length, it isn't that optimal.

This is one of the reasons i asked for set loop range in feature requests.

Does that merge patterns together? I treid a couple of times to copy the midi from 1 pattern to another to merge them but the midi wasn't copied. A simple merge function would be great in terms of workflow so +1 from me!

not just a merge function, but there are several copy, paste, merge etc functions that I believe could be easy implemented by mouse clicks in the software, even being able to slice scenes in half or by bars or grid would be so cool. Those functions dont have to be made hardware compatible at this moment, but even the fact that there are no tooltips in the software was a little surprising to me, not necessarily disappointing though :)

What I like to do is Mix 2 or 3 different patterns, usually 32 note hi hats, in real time pattern play... I found that the only way to record it is to sample internally into a new pad recording the pattern pad presses.
