stupid question but do the tags get stored within the preset file?
I have a huge library as well which is not tagged at all and I thought about doing it but just if I had to do it once. So if I would tag all those files would I be able to copy just the preset files and have the tags on the other system I copy to?
Also from reading your posts isn't it possible to tag several sounds at once or do you have to tag every singe sound?

I don't do preset management in Massive, but usually the presets in the Factory presets location cannot be changed and the presets in the User location can.

Tags are stored within the preset file.

You have to tag every file. I think those who have the the old Kore hardware can do more.

You cannot overwrite a factory preset, but you can edit and save it as a user preset.

You can move your preset files from one computer to another and get access to them there, just by putting them in a folder the synth is set to read.
The user preset folder for the synth is default, so if you put them there, they will show up in your synth.
We are talking of Absynth, Massive and FM8. Reaktor is another story.
