i think it's by far the best ensemble (standalone) ni has ever made (except for the name (oy!)). ;-)

it's nice to see ni "learning" from us ... i see a whole bunch of the diehard reaktor user library creators in MetaFunc: zobel/leboz, spoomer, nowak, brinkmann, programchild, rachmiel (hey, that's me!), etc.

    definitely worth the download. :)

Is this available as a VST? How do you record audio from it?

I mean - it's not an ensemble - wish it were...

to record from it, you can use whatever software recorder you have at your disposal. i typically use sound forge's recorder; you can use sonar's, the one that comes with your os, etc.

Don't mean to be an idiot Rach but I guess I am...

I have 2 audio cards on my xp pc and normally record the highest quality tracks with either the MOTU 24i or Maudio Delta... but I can't get either to give the audio from METAPHYSICAL to Sound Forge or the other Shareware APP I downloaded...

I tried the routing, control panels - you name it....

I have all this $ invested so I can use Cubase or even Reaktor 4 Standalone and record audio...

This is the first time I have needed to figure out how to record the output from an application.... I didn't buy Reaktor so I'd have to figure out how to record the output in Sound Forge...

Have you recorded the audio into Sound Forge? Just curious. It's more trouble than it should be.

    mickster,

i am using an sb audigy card and didn't have to do anything (except the default install) to enable it to record any sound that's playing on my system in any software recorder.

i checked my sound forge settings: the recorder uses "Microsoft Sound Mapper" as its recording device.

i also checked my multimedia properties (control panel). the same audigy port that reaktor uses for playback is selected in the multimedia properties dialog box as the preferred recording device.

    cheers,

    rachMiel
