meters in DAW control mode (LPX) show weird behaviour

I noticed something strange, I think it appeared after upgrading to LPX 10.4.2 . When I put my kontrol 2 in mixer mode, the vu meters of the different channels flash, and do not reflect the meters in the mixer in logic. Anyone has an idea of the the cause of this problem?

posted this issue at the LogicProhelp.com forum, too. others see similar problems with their DAW controlers. It could be related to the new Sends On Faders functionality that Apple has added to LPX.

Something similar here. On LPX if I go to mixer mode, faders appear for a second, then the screen goes black. Transport buttons flash rapidly at different intensities. Recycling power to my S88 mkII helps sometimes...

 

This is still an issue in Logic 10.4.5. The level meters in the mixer view appear to have an overly long hold time, which means they barely move, and even when you press stop, it takes quite awhile for them to very slowly fade to 0. They also flash regularly. I'm seeing this on my Maschine mk3, but I imagine the behavior is exactly the same as a Komplete Kontrol S-series mk2.

It's not exactly unusable, but the meters are basically meaningless, and the flickering is distracting and annoying.

The mixer view works properly in Ableton Live 10, so maybe it's on Apple to fix this? Especially since it (apparently) worked fine until Logic Pro 10.4.2. I'm gonna send feedback to Apple, and would encourage others to do the same — there's a "Provide Feedback" command in the Logic Pro menu.

 

I experience the same issue (Logic 10.4.5). Working in Ableton, but is glitchy in Logic - like Stormchild commented. Hope this is an issue that can be fixed! Sent a message to Apple as well.

 

Was there ever a fix for this? I'm still getting it with Logic 10.5.1.
