    Hi!
I recently found out how to assign knobs within Battery to my midi controller. Btw I'm using Ableton live 8, so the process looks like this:

    - View > automation page in battery
    - Select Host top left, not Midi CC
    - Drag a row from the list onto the desired knob and the name will appear in the list
    - Within Ableton, click on Configure in the plugins config
    - When clicking the Soft button in Battery the parameter will appear in Live's config list
    - Assign a midi controller

However, I don't know how to do this with a button from Battery 3. In my case, I want to control the Reverse button in the Sampler section. When dragging a row to this button, it doesn't do anything both in Host and Midi CC mode. Is it even possible to midi assign Battery 3 buttons?
I hope I'm not the 100th user who asks this question!

    Greetings,

I have Battery3 and Maschine and this button assign problem kind of bummed me out too.
I wanted to make a template for Maschine.
Pots OK, no problem, buttons I didn't succeed, so I scrapped the whole project. I wanted master FX like delay, reverb, etc...on/off:(
Is it too much to ask?

Battery is not "compatible" with Maschine, (compatible as it should be, being an NI product)...meaning you can't make a kit and drag cells .cl3 into Maschine. Wav/aiff only

Yeah, NI can suck my Battery 3 using nuts! Fazing it out for some bullshit ass kontakt player! What the **** are they thinking/doing? Greedy phuckers.

Why dont they fix this stupid ass msg box so you can use your mouse to click on a different area of your post, rather than it going limp just because you wanted to correct a typo or some shyt, without using the arrow keys. LAME

I used to be impressed by these guys. But they pull quite a bit of BS if you ask me. Everything is either discontinued, or will soon be, if they get the urge.

Sorry for this rant. It doesnt contribute anything constructive other than letting NI know how I feel (but they dont care so its moot). Again, my apologies.   :S :( :|!

Your Fellings are comprehensible, NI is really annyoing in some respects. However is there any solution for the control of Battery 3 buttons?

Your feelings are understandable SirJoseph but I think you can always choose something different or tell them other solutions.
