    Hi please help.
I have a differnt problem to others. I have everything working fine except for a midi controller issue: both physical CDJ-400s control the same deck in Traktor (deck A)or both deck A and B in Traktor at the same time but I cant get the CDJ 400s to control deck A and B correctly separatley. I have imported the "Traktor PRO 2 X CDJ 400 Midi Mapping" and checked all seems OK.
I am running Traktor Pro 1.1
    Windows XP
latest Pioneer and the Asio Drivers have selected Asio in Traktor
In MIDI set up I have two "USB Audio Device Emulated" both are checked. one of them has a (2)

    Please help!

I just had a quick look, your settings seem fine to me tho im using a macbook pro and osx, not windows. Your cdj's should be communicating on different channels as your images have shown (CH1 & 2) so don't change that, but i do wonder why it shows up as EMULATED in your midi settings?

I think i may have read somewhere that windows can only see a maximum of 1 or 2 midi devices in traktor (until a new patch comes out). Try shuffling your hardware in different USB ports on your laptop, thats how i resolved my problems. Test different configs to eliminate the possibility of a conflict.

Do u have a midi-capable mixer? Try disabling its midi signal and see if that resolves the CDJ problem.

That may be your problem, but dont quote me on that. If and when you finally get this sorted out would you be good enough to post your .tsi as i can't seem to get my CDJ jog wheels to work properly (like how they behave when using them analogue). I cant seem to figure out how to tell traktor that when the platter is being pushed down and rotated with the seek button pushed to to a fast seek. if you work it out let us know would be much appreciated...

    Good luck

    Hi Thanks !

Changing USB ports has no effect
I am using a DJM-400 so no MIDI

I have uninstalled from XP and put on to a vista laptop and on the vista machine it only sees one CDJ device in MIDI Set Up. SO I am no further to understanding what is going on....

OK problem fixed both physical decks MIDI settings were set tyo CH1. To change this just hold down the text utility mode scroll to MIDI and set one to CH1 and one to CH2
    All the best

I had this problem with traktor scratch duo. I used the Asio for all setting.
In the end i got fed up of faffing around and just plugged in the audio 4 dj and ran everything through that and then into the pc.

Then just applied the default settings to each of the decks A+B) within the setting for the cdj400 and off i went.

I couldn't get the Asio4All to work properly for me....some people seem to have sussed it but it just caused me problems. Plus the latency was pretty poor when i got one of the decks running.

    Hope that helps.

Changing physical midi channels on your cdj 400...

HOld the Utility Button down on the CDJ400 until you see Jog Illum in the LED readout display... scroll through the menu using rotary knob until you see Midi Ch...

its in there! Assign both decks to different channels 1 & 2
