On the midi controller I would really like to have a full velocity curve so that when I'm not using maschine's software then I can still have full level for banging out drum sounds from my external sound modules. Also I would like to have note repeat when in controller mode.
    Thanks.

I think i don´t really get what you mean. When i am using maschine as midicontroller for triggering sounds i do have full velocity response.

    ?

Not using it as a midi controller outside of the maschine software. The controller has 7 pad velocity curves (hard 1,2,3 - linear- and soft 1,2,3) but no full velocity, if you have found a way to make it trigger at full velocity then please let it be known.

Ok. I understand. You´re looking for a fixed velocity-setting for the pads like 127 or whatever. Then let it be a choice. The moment you choose the pads fixed setting from the dialogbox a slider will appaer to let you set the exact value between 1 and 127.

    +1
    ------------
Personally the problem doesn´t hit me that hard though. At least when working in cubase. Because of the logical editor capabilities i can choose to transform any incoming velocity-data to a value of my choice before the data is send to it´s target. When done, just disengaging the function and having the normal velocity values back again.

    Cheers.

you can set a 'fixed velocity' with the min/max velocity controls in the Controller Editor. you'll find these controls on the 'Hit' and the 'Press' tab for each Pad.

No! We don't want a fixed velocity. We want the velocity response of the pads in MIDI mode to be the same as they are in Maschine mode. (Or at least the option to have that be the case.)

Currently, the pads in MIDI mode are way less sensitive than Maschine mode--even with the sesitivity cranked all the way up (or down).

Yes that's cool, and I did not know that, but they way I would like it to work is to be able to toggle from full level to regular level velocity. For some sounds I would like a full level and then for other sounds like hi hats I might want to freak the velocity a little bit.

Make 3 templates, one with the full range, one with full velocity, one with half velocity.
Almost as fast as the maschine way of keyboard velocity.
And i agree with jbone1313, the full velocity doesn't match up to maschine.

full velocity is a common feature many folks are used to using. A quick way to toggle it on and off in midi or even maschine mode, would be helpful.

note repeat in midi control mode would be awesome.

^In maschine mode just push the keyboard button, and in the left lcd you can select half & full, even set them to your prefference.

yeah, that's true. But doesn't that place one sound over all the pads? Say I just wanted my whole kit to play at full? I'll have to try it, I don't use that much but I know many that do, sometimes it's cool for chops or snares, etc.

I think I've got my problem solved. Another user in a different thread explained how you have to set each pad's velocity curve in the controller editor. I set it to "Soft 3", and that seems to work out.

@ SaintJoe: yeah, just press keyboard, and make sure only half vel/ full vel lights up,.
If you also select keybd, THEN it wil be spread over the pads.
If you select input, then you don't have to keep the keyboard button pressed

    @Jbone1313, thx will try tonight
