Hard to say. Xone products are quality. Wonder what street price will be. One thing VMX4 seems to have a bigger plate, maybe it's just first impression, my guess.

Xone DX is twice the price, hence it's better. Xone is quality. VMX4 supposedly 599 MSRP and probably be 400 on Amazon, that would be sweet.

Hey guys I was thinking do I even need another MIDI controller besides X1? All I need is a mixer basically which does not need to control Traktor software. Correct me if I am wrong. Anyone else has similar setup? Thanks

cooldudela, ive got a similar setup to what your looking for.

ive got two other midi devices but have planned on using and X1 and club mixer to play out in a bar. all you need to do that is an audio card (audio 4 for two decks, audio 8 for four decks).

whether i actually ditch the other two is still in question, because for all i trust the X1, i love my midifighter so will probably add that to the equation.

I just put in an order for Hercules RMX, it's little over 300 and should be good for home use. Also has a built-in sound card. I just hope MIDI setup provided won't be too hard and won't interfere with the X1.

I dont think you will be disappointed with the RMX. Its perfect for home use, especially just to jam, mix or whatever. I recently had a gig with the RMX and X1, and it was just flawless. While the other dj's had vestax, their stuff was cutting off and crashing lol... enjoy...

Thanks for all the feedback guys, both the VMS and the DX look pretty slick!

Either one seems like a good option to take full advantage of what Traktor has to offer.

I just picked up an X1 before the weekend started and I plan on using it along side my Vestax VCM-100. It's small and compact enough for travel but weighs in at a bit more than what I'd like(still beats hauling crates of vinyl). ;)

Just placed a reserve order for the Xone DX through Pro Sound, not hitting the U.S. market until June 1st :(... oh well, it'll be worth the wait!
