I noticed it isn't included anymore in the new Reaktor version.

I don't miss it that necessary.

But lets discuss, does anyone miss it anyway ?

Well, it was quite rudimentary, it would play back a MIDI file for an ensemble, but it had to be besides the according ensemble, and you had to activate the playback via a menu entry. No Gui, and no drag n drop. Guess, it was meant more to show off some possibilities with the ensembles.

Maybe a more comfortable MIDI player with drag n drop ability and own GUI would be a nice addition, but as said, I don't miss the old MIDI file playback Implementation.

    Any more opinions ?

Oh no, I use it all the time! I load 'vari-tempo 'files in, volume swells, patch changes, and other 'automation'. I hope it isn't really gone? Maybe hiding somewhere else (I can't install beta now because the download keeps failing to complete here).

One big vote for having it from me!

for me it was really frustrating to use it.

i would prefer some like the Kore MIDI File Player that is a plugin. in Reaktor this could be a Macro that could be placed in any Instrument, where a number of MIDI Files could be loaded - in each Macro - and switched and looped.

I am not that happy about the midi file player being dropped.
These days - while I am on vacation - it doesn´t make that difference to me.
Normally I spent about 9 hours per week in a train, having no controller hardware.
Besides I strongly prefer to work on Reaktor in stand-alone mode.
Not a nice job now to alter an ensembles´ sound while having it in a musical context.
As "rudimentary" as it was - the dropping of the midi file player means a step backwards withregard to compatability and usability in stand-alone mode :(.
A "midi file player module/macro" would be a pretty mighty thing.
Hope NI is gonna surprise us with something like this that substitutes the old player.
Otherwise: Another big vote for having it back.
    Best regards, Gerald

I myself can't download the beta, tried many times since release but it continues to drop or pause until 'broken'...AND I have downloaded other single multi-gig files elsewhere but I guess something unique to my ISP otherwise I would be in and on it, so to speak ;-)

Please consider this the best I can give under my present circumstances NOT to drop MIDI player (pretty simple code yes?).

    No worries,

I submitted it as a feature request to NI,
also included a link to this discussion here.

Thanx to anyone sharing their opinion here.

    Cheers

    Cool, thanks losan.

In actuality, if I could have downloaded...installation would have been under a careful and considered thought process before I would have introduced any purposeful interruption to proper Kore Soundpacks operation (which the beta is not synchronized with, AFIK?).

Then again, as I said I can't download so 'Komplete 7' it is ;-)
