i've found after installing 1.2 my nanoPAD isn't working as usual, generally i use it to control either my hot cues or loops.

currently all the pads still work for the same targets (i.e. hot cue 1, hot cue 2, /4, /2, etc.), but are now using a HOLD interaction characteristic rather than the original TOGGLE set in previous installs. i am unable to select TOGGLE from the INTERACTION drop down menu (only HOLD is available). when using the LEARN function, 1.2 recognizes the nano's pad as a FADER/KNOB instead of as a BUTTON.

i recall reading somwhere last night that the HOLD/TOGGLE characteristic is reversed in the 1.2 beta...possibly by accident. but this doesn't explain to me why i can't change the value. is there something i'm missing? please enlighten me. kthxbai

    Hello there
I had the same problem. The soluton is to change the pads from note to cc mapping and the issue is resolved. Haven't a clue what happended under the hood but at least there is a work around!

i'll repost your quote in dj quartz's thread as well.

just wanted to answer here as well...that changing from Note to CC in your Korg Editor does work.

That seems to handle the problem. It's nice to know that there are workarounds, but on my opinion - there should not be a problem. As said, a workaround is a nice thing to have (in case this might not get fixed before 1.2's final release, which I of course hope doesn't happen - though I can see this might be something the company thinks "small enough problem" that it might only be addressed in a later hotfix or something).

this is what I have found using Note value on your NanoPAD with 1.2...

    Korg Editor Pad Behavior: Momentary
    Traktor Setting: Button/Toggle

Traktor acts like a HOLD BUTTON

    Korg Editor Pad Behavior: Toggle
    Traktor Setting: Button/Toggle

Traktor acts like a ON/OFF BUTTON

Also Roll/Flam is disabled in both these tests on the Korg Editor but didnt make a difference if it was enabled.

um, no offense kid...but it's a BETA. we are supposed to find and identify these bugs so that they can be fixed. it's the whole point. and i'm fairly certain NI will fix this in the official 1.2 release.

    shemloo, you're a godsend.

Something this fundamental should have been noticed in previous rounds already. Should've, could've, but wasn't.

And you're still not paying me weekly allowances, so drop the attitude. Also, (if you're the same sinjintek as in deviantart) please note that you are indeed younger than me - not by many years, granted.

Edit: So that I won't be misunderstood by the above comment; it is a more or less automated response to anyone calling me "kid" :)

It seems like you, dear sir, have no idea of how software industry works. Now we have an unwanted feature and there is a workaround for it; this means that it is possible to postpone fixing it (because there is a workaround for those whose life this hinders). Of course, it would be ideal if this got fixed before releasing. But because there is a workaround... it's not a done deal.
