    Hy everybody

Is there a possibility to learn the controler buttons like the "mute" or "solo" for the instrument (hope everybody understands what I mean, sorry for my english).
I try to explain the idea.

For me using Kontakt in live situations it would be very useful to switch instruments, for example I loaded an organ and a e-piano in my ensemble. Best solution for me would be to set all instruments to the same Midi chanel and play organ at the beginning (I set it on solo) and then the e-piano (again solo).

This works perfekt with the mouse. In Live situations I want to arrange it like this. My buttons on my controler are the solo buttons for each instrument. But is not possible for me to do (It does not accept Midi learn).

Its very unsatisfiing to do it with midi learning via volume, since every time you volume up the instrument you have to be very careful that that its not to loud.

Best solution would be to controll the solo or mute buttons. Any idea, thanks for help

This is not possible unfortunately. A sorely missing feature.

I don’t play out live but would this work? Put your instruments into an instrument bank and use a program change control from your keyboard controller to change instruments. For instance put your organ on program one and your e-piano on program 2 with both on the same midi channel. Preset your volumes then send a program change to select which instrument to use.

Yes, using instrument banks is one way to deal with that. In fact, they're perfect for live usage.

Thanks for your help, the tip with the bank is great. Thanks a lot.

But indeed, I have the filling this is really a missing function, it would be in live situations more confortably, because I could be more flexible with the volume situation of my different instruments.

Hope somebody from native reads this and thinks about this function in the next update

Again, thanks a lot for your help and keep on grooving

I'm pondering this same situation. I wanting to do real time mutes of aspects of instruments learned via a foot-switch (I'm playing with no free hands constantly) I've recently discovered that the sliders on the bank and instrument volumes can be learned and controlled by volume pedal but what I want is a pre mute function to be able to be leaned and controlled via foot-switch. I want to save CPU and other resources by stopping incoming notes as opposed to minimizing the volume. Is there another way to at least "learn" mute incoming midi into Kontakt?

MIDI channels can be muted individually by writing a multiscript.

You may want to look into Orange Tree Samples Mind Control. It is not exactly what you are looking for but it makes the Kontakt banks much more powerful as it frees them from program change message restriction and is useful for live performance. I use it for changing articulations in orchestral sample libraries.

The developer is also very cool and may be able to add features upon request.
