I was wondering if there are any news concerning the "no MIDI-Learn"-issue in Massive X.

Seems like NI should've had quite enough time to fix this issue.

Or does anyone know a workaround to assign MIDI CC to Massive Macros or directly to the Parameters in Logic Pro X?

    Cheers

Do you know something about the ConV-19 pandemie?

Thank you for this uttermost valuable reminder. But this issue has been discussed since the very release of Massive X.

I was just trying to figure out why I couldnt access midi learn...now I see its not there. The covid 19 situation has little to do with this Massive X has been out for a while now.

Same here - the pricing of the new expansions brought me back to Massive X, just to realize there is still no MIDI Learn. ;):(:(

It‘s just that easy: No MIDI Learn - no more effort in this tool and no purchases for it.

MIDI Learn is no rocket sience.

Jetzt in Deutsch: Kommt schon NI, man muss sich ja fast schämen! Das kann doch nicht so schwer sein, das in das nächste Update zu packen.
    Viele Grüße!!

Considering the sheer number of parameters in MX it is not at all a simple or quick task to introduce MIDI learn and/or host automation for all of them.

Just 16 global (saveable - if that word exist) MIDI Learns for the Macro-Controllers would be a compromise.

Well that can also be done host-side... A lot of hosts can MIDI learn parameters exposed to host automation... actually I don't know which ones can't...

You mean that generic controller thing (Cubase)? Come on! We would like to make music...

I don't use Cubase but I suppose that might be it. It's super simple in Reaper, don't even have to leave the plugin GUI it's right there after you click the Param button in the plugin preset strip on top. I guess Cubase can be convoluted sometimes. :D

EDIT: Or actually, in Cubase you would be using Quick Controls rather than generic controller.

No thanks - than I decide for Arturia Pigments instead of MassiveX-sounds -> Midi Learn + top visualization ...
    I‘m out.

In Logic it automatically creates its own Smart Controls - these are midi learnable.

Seems like everything needs a workaround in NI products. What a waste of time. This company doesn't deserve its position in the vst market. I'm out.

Just today, I realized my Nektartech LX88+ has a special "grab" feature, where, you wiggle a parameter in a VST, then a knob and voilà !

What I couldn't get working was Reaper's internal midi learn button for a parameter. Clicked it, wiggled a knob on the master keyboard, but nothing. EvilDragon as you mentioned Reaper's param midi learn, do you know what I might be doing wrong there?

You're not doing anything wrong, MX doesn't report all of its parameters to the host, just the 16 macros.

I just saw the recent update posted and was hoping there would be some midi-learn implementation added, then found this thread. I have to agree, a vst synth not having midi-learn is so lame. Great sounding synth but a major flaw.

    gkm: I completely agree.
I stick with Massive (without X) for as long as I can, and if someday it is no longer usable on modern maschines and the X is still not ready for live playing by then, I'm looking for something else...
