...would be, in my opinion, the most desirable "new" feature. Without it, this great lookig synth is virtually useless to live playing musicians who need to attach their various MIDI controllers to Massive X's controls. (Yes, I know that this feature may be emulated by some hosting DAWs - but this is a sheer workaround for a missing essential feature, and not always practicable in a live setting)

Also, a standalone .exe version of Massive X would be appreciated.

MIDI learn, and, especially, the automation of the parameters in the host application. Yes. Please.

For this I simply recommend using SAVIhost. Works perfectly fine.

Agreed. And, the workaround aspect is an unexpected pain at this stage of the soft synth game.

The most intuitive MIDI learn capability that I have seen is where you just click an icon on the virtual synth, and upon doing that, every single knob and fader becomes highlighted in blue. You then click the knob you want to control, and then turn a knob on your hardware controller. That newly controlled knob on the virtual synth then turns green, indicating that it has been assigned.

From my perspective, this would be the ideal way for NI to implement MIDI learn to its synths.

Sitting in the same boat - just upgraded to Komplete 13 UCE and Massive X was one of the additions I was really looking forward to.
Fiddled quite a bit in my DAW to get the CC knobs assigned to the the macros via automation - worked, but not really a great experience.
Thumbs up for this one :)
