Hi. I recently bought battery 4 to play samples with my electronic drum pads. The pads are connected to a roland td-9 drum module in trigger mode, and the module is connected to my laptop by a midi to usb connector (UM-1). Almost everything works fine, and I can trigger samples with great accuracy. However, I can't find the settings for mapping specific drumpads to specific cells within the plugin. This is fairly easy in most plugins, and everything I've used so far has had the cc-mapping option very visible. I've google searched for hours and read the manual, but I still can't get it. Any suggestions?

you can either change the pads on the td-9 to match battery 4 or change battery 4 to match the td-9.

its easiest to change battery to match the td-9. click on the cell and change the keyrange to match the pad on the td-9. The Key Range area is on the left side of the Quick Access area (the middle portion of the screen, where you can see the waveform in the Waveform Control).

you can also turn on midi learn (the midi icon next to the keyrange) and hit the pad on your td-9 to automatically learn the midi note. just hit a pad twice to set the lower and upper key range.

save it as the default kit or a kit named roland td-9.

Can I save the mapped pads, or will I have to remap the kit every time I load a preset kt in Battery?

you can save mapped pads, but they will overwrite when you drag in a new rex file. thats the problem i'm having. I would like to keep the map a certain way, then drag files in and let them expand without erasing my mapping work

Doing a double click is great and very convenient but now the pad will cause any previously mapped cell to activate as well? I thought the new mapping would disable any other cell that was assigned to this midi.
